Connect With User Specifications When Starting a Tool

The user specifications are passed as arguments with the start of the ADABAS tool.

The syntax of the start command is in general:

Example:

query -u parker,secret -d testdb -n sql1 -t 300

All user specifications are made explicitly, and no more information from the SQL DB.INI file is required. You automatically access the tool. If the specifications for the options -u, -d, or -n are incorrect, the connect window is displayed where the entries can be corrected.
