The color setting within the Windows Clients always depends on the color setting specified in the Windows System Control.
Representation of Highlighted Text Blocks
Some text blocks within the Windows Clients are highlighted to draw the attention, e.g., to special features of the values shown. (This corresponds to the bright attribute under UNIX.)
The representation of such text blocks can be configured by an entry in the SQL-DB.INI file.
To determine the color to be used for bright representation, enter the line Bright=<color> in the [Colors] section of the SQL-DB.INI file (see Appendix B - SQL-DB.INI).
If no color is specified in the SQL-DB.INI file, the system will automatically determine a color that is in contrast both to the regular text color and the background. If no such color is found, the text in question will be shown in boldface. However, the boldface display has a negative effect on the screen setup speed, e.g., when scrolling. Therefore, we recommend that you specify an appropriate color respresentation in the SQL-DB.INI file yourself.
