Any of the end user tools can exchange data with other Windows programs using the clipboard. The data gathered from the database can thus be easily passed to other programs (e.g., word processing or spreadsheets) for further processing. Moreover, LOAD offers the possibility to insert data into the database from other programs using the clipboard.
The section "data exchange" in each tool chapter describes how and in which form the data can be copied.
Remark: The maximum amount of data for clipboard output is practically only limited by the memory space available. However, bear in mind that it may take considerable time to copy very great amounts of data into the clipboard. In those cases, it is recommended to make the output either from REPORT or by use of LOAD. Further, it must be said that some Windows programs may have their own restrictions as far as the handling of large clipboard contents is concerned.
