This short instruction is intended to assist an experienced user to perform a normal installation.
1. Stopping the SERVERDB (CONTROL: Shutdown Offline)
2. Loading the software from the distribution medium to "$dbroot" (cpio...)
3. Installing the software as superuser (root) (bin/x_install)
4. Changing the environment variables (see Section Installing the ADABAS Software)
5. Checking and, if necessary, changing the parameters of the embedding in the
operating system (CONTROL: Alter Parameter)
6. Restarting the ADABAS kernel and the SERVERDB (CONTROL: Restart)
7. Installing the system tables (CONTROL: Load Systables)
8. Verification of the installation (CONTROL: Diagnose/Inst Protocol
