This book contains the messages and codes of the ADABAS kernel, the tool components of ADABAS, and the ADABAS precompilers. Short explanations of the possible causes of the errors and instructions of how to correct them are included.
The second chapter lists the messages and return codes in ascending order (from 0 to 25999). They are status messages which are also output for a syntactically correct query or a faultlessly running program.
There is one exception: the VBPlus messages are actual error messages. The usage of a positive code is set down by Visual Basic.
The third chapter lists the error messages and error codes in descending order (from -1 to -25999). They show that an error occurred and what user action is recommended.
