Current information about the loaded ADABAS version is provided in the files "readme.1st", "readme.eng", or "readme.deu" in the directory %DBROOT%. These files describe the modifications made to the previous version and contain instructions for the installation. In addition, they describe open and fixed errors.
They are readable files in ASCII format.
The README files are stored as ASCII files in readable, not compressed form on the first installation disk. Therefore, they can be read before loading the disks.
