Changes are to be expected. Presently, the following is true:
The name of the pipe must be a relative name (without / ); i.e., the pipe is in the rundirectory of the database.
· Parallel backups are not possible.
· After changing the name of the pipe or rundirectory, the backups previously generated are no longer provided for selection for xrestore.
To be able to use the connection, three steps are still needed:
· The "nsr..." media (see in Section External Backup Tools) must be defined in CONTROL.
· Under /nsr (NetWorker directory), an "adabas" directory must be generated in which a file named "env" is to be created. This "/nsr/adabas/env" file must specify the absolute path name of the directory containing the NetWorker programs "save", "restore", and "mminfo" as NSR_HOME; for example:
NSR_HOME /home/apps/Networker/bin
· The UNIX user calling xbackup and xrestore must be entered as administrator in the NetWorker in order that the NetWorker program "mminfo" is capable of reading the "/nsr/mm/mmvolume" file (the alternative: UNIX read right for "other").
